Hola Personas.....July 31, 2018

Another week down in the area of my birth General Paz, things seem to have some potential here for us but we will have to see how it all plays out. We managed to get an investigator to church this week which was super cool her name is Carina fuentes she was taught by the sisters who they took out before us for a long time, the sisters were great and all but this area hasnt had a baptism in 6 months and most of the entries they did in the area book dont have dirrections so we cant find most of the people they even taught. Anyways even though carina came to church the room only had 21 people in it so thats not too good on the brink of dropping out of the 20s but the bishops wife and one of the councilors and his family didnt come so we were like whats going on, we went and investigated on this issue of super low attendence and went to the councilors home that was absent turns out he was just visiting family in another part because he had a relative getting the priesthood or something i am not all too sure what happened because it was all in spanish and he has an intense accent, hes a really cool guy converted in 98 and lives in some humble circumstances but him and his family his wife and one daughter are really nice my comp talked to him about the ward for a long time and the daughter showed me her collection of bugs that are all preserved in cubes of plastic they were pretty cool but i didnt understand much of what she said either. afterwords my comp gave me the quick summary of why the ward is so dead aparently they had a previous bishop before that did some things with young woman in the ward got excomunicated and then a bunch of people went inactive cause of it, kind of sad that someone trusted with that responsibility would kill a ward like that but a testimony shouldnt be in the bishop but it certainly doesnt make things easy so this is what we have to work with hopefully we can build this ward back up a bit and get it going again. we found a little villa where the streets dont have names but there are a bunch of people we found that we were able to make citas with hopefully they will have good potential a lot of the people in the area didnt seem to know the missionairys from before like the other villa so fresh meat haha.

here is a picture we had of an asado last p day its where they cook all these crazy cuts of meats over coals kind of slowly with super minimal seasoning its pretty good but the cuts do get weird sometimes
