RIP My Glasses....August 7, 2018

So this week has been good we worked really hard found a bunch of new people taught a bunch of lessons and managed to have a number of 6 people in church! I cant take too much credit because i mostly just follow my comp around hes a machine and i just try to pick up on what spanish that I can which gets better little by little but I still cant hold a conversation very well. So one of the craziest events of the week was on sunday I decided to wear my glasses cause sundays are usually more chill so I did and early in the morning we got up and headed out to try and get some people to church weve been working in this little villa where its so ghetto the streets dont have names all the houses are just concrete shacks but the people are usually way more willing to listing in these areas and this villa since its not really on the map and we kind of just found it doesnt seem to have had much missionary work done in it yet, We went to a house of this mom that has 12 kids in this villa and while...

Another week down in the area of my birth General Paz, things seem to have some potential here for us but we will have to see how it all plays out. We managed to get an investigator to church this week which was super cool her name is Carina fuentes she was taught by the sisters who they took out before us for a long time, the sisters were great and all but this area hasnt had a baptism in 6 months and most of the entries they did in the area book dont have dirrections so we cant find most of the people they even taught. Anyways even though carina came to church the room only had 21 people in it so thats not too good on the brink of dropping out of the 20s but the bishops wife and one of the councilors and his family didnt come so we were like whats going on, we went and investigated on this issue of super low attendence and went to the councilors home that was absent turns out he was just visiting family in another part because he had a relative getting the priesthood or something i a...

Hola everybody halfway through my fifth week here in the CCM excited to be getting close to getting out of here its kind of becoming a drag being stuck in this facility and a class room doing spanish for hours on end everyday but i know i gotta learn that stuff so its all good. one of the only fun things to really do here is to go to the tienda which is like this little store they run where everything is stupid cheap like one us doller is worth 20 pesos and candy is like 5 to 10 pesos which is great and they give us 100 pesos a week so we go to the tienda every day because its our entertainment. we found a guy here from bahia blanca in argentina it was cool trying to talk to him didnt understand most of it because he talks so fast and has an accent but he had good things to say about cordoba or at least i think he did... anyways got a picture of him hes whiter than me and pretty tall so not your average south american look. we also found a hermana from buenos aires who said the people ...

Hola - June 28,2018

So this week was alright im already ready to get out of this CCM even though my spanish is pretty weak, every day is pretty similar now we spend like 13 hours in a classroom learning spanish then they teach us how to preach the gospel but the teachers here talk in spanish so i only understand like 75% of what they are saying then they make us practice teaching each other lessons in spanish and then we do progressive investigator which is when our teachers pretend to be investigators and we teach them in spanish its great but my problem is i dont know much spanish. they told us that for weeks 5 and 6 we are only allowed to speak in spanish always and we get in trouble if we are caught speaking in english so that will be exciting. my district is doing well we are all good friends now and have a lot of fun trying to learn spanish and laughing at all our mistakes. our maestros are cool but sometimes kind of intense with how much spanish they expect us to know after only 3 weeks but its al...

My district at the temple The Mexico City Temple  Some weird statue on top of a building next to the CCM that we always see cause  its right out the window of our branch meeting room.  hola everyone! Another week down here in the CCM. So probably the most exciting thing that happened this week was when i was walking into sacrament meeting our branch president was like oh elder naegle let me talk to you for a sec, and he pulled me aside and was like so we promoted your district leader to be zone leader so now you are gonna be the zone leader and i was like wow ok and next thing  i know after sacrament meeting and priesthood im leading my district in a meeting about goals that i had no time to prepare but it went well, i consider myself to be their father and they are all my little children that i must protect and help them set goals.  it rains a lot here almost every day and the clouds come really fast then it will pour for a bit then be ...
