RIP My Glasses....August 7, 2018

So this week has been good we worked really hard found a bunch of new people taught a bunch of lessons and managed to have a number of 6 people in church! I cant take too much credit because i mostly just follow my comp around hes a machine and i just try to pick up on what spanish that I can which gets better little by little but I still cant hold a conversation very well. So one of the craziest events of the week was on sunday I decided to wear my glasses cause sundays are usually more chill so I did and early in the morning we got up and headed out to try and get some people to church weve been working in this little villa where its so ghetto the streets dont have names all the houses are just concrete shacks but the people are usually way more willing to listing in these areas and this villa since its not really on the map and we kind of just found it doesnt seem to have had much missionary work done in it yet, We went to a house of this mom that has 12 kids in this villa and while we were out front waiting 2 guys came up and attempted to rob us they were trying to get our phones but between us we have one tiny dinky phone not worth anything but they got angry and when i didnt pull out a phone he hit me in the face and broke my glasses and when i still woudlnt give him anything (i didnt have much besides scriptures and pamphlets anyways) he hit me again i was pretty upset but I held my ground and managed to resist hitting him back then my comp whipped out the dinky phone and gave it to them and after a little bit more yelling they finally left, luckily 3 of the kids in the family came to church but i had to go through church without good vision until at lunch time we went back and I could put contacts in pretty sad about my glasses but it is what it is, we are supposed to have a baptism of this one lady next sunday which is going to be cool, hopefully we can get the rest of this huge family in this villa to come to church and some others weve found out there. 
also just a reminder if any of you ex missionaries have scriptures you liked or anyone has scriptures they like or are good for sharing with people about mostly the first 3 lessons in PMG that would be awesome if you sent them my way! until next time, Elder Naegle

Another week down in the area of my birth General Paz, things seem to have some potential here for us but we will have to see how it all plays out. We managed to get an investigator to church this week which was super cool her name is Carina fuentes she was taught by the sisters who they took out before us for a long time, the sisters were great and all but this area hasnt had a baptism in 6 months and most of the entries they did in the area book dont have dirrections so we cant find most of the people they even taught. Anyways even though carina came to church the room only had 21 people in it so thats not too good on the brink of dropping out of the 20s but the bishops wife and one of the councilors and his family didnt come so we were like whats going on, we went and investigated on this issue of super low attendence and went to the councilors home that was absent turns out he was just visiting family in another part because he had a relative getting the priesthood or something i a...

hola ultra vez.....Sptember 18, 2018

Hello friends and family this week was a little frustrating but im hopeful for the weeks to come soon. We have been working hard in the villa and branched out a little bit to this hill kind of next to it we found a guy named Ariel a while back and he seems to have potential but we didnt manage to get him to church cause his son was sick but he seems honest when he says he wants to go funny thing about him is when i contacted him the first time i asked him if he was a person that believes (sounds better in spanish) una persona muy creyente and he was eating something and with his mouth full goes "MM" and turns his leg and hes got a big ol tattoo of jesus on his leg it was awesome. We are trying to teach this girl priscila she is interested she also comes from a family of 12 kids but those 12 kids and their friends who tend to follow us and ruin our lessons which got really frustrating one day after it happened 3 times. The Cold Weather Brings Out The Weirdos.....September 4, 2018

Hola friends and family this week was a pretty good one over all we did have a few days of clowdy weather where it went from one day being pretty warm to the next 3 being cold with some drizzle. The people here like to find excuses to not work so when it goes from warm to cold places just close up for the day and people dont go outside except in the villa where we work the watchos wonder around which puts us in a bad spot cause nobody is around and they try to rob us. Watchos did only attempt to rob us twice during this time and both times the first time we were clapping at a house(people here in the villas dont have doorbells at their gates so we clap to bring them out) and some guy started walking up to us so as missionaries we naturally greet him "hola cómo anda" he shakes our hands greets us back then he goes "tiene celular?"
