The Cold Weather Brings Out The Weirdos.....September 4, 2018









Hola friends and family this week was a pretty good one over all we did have a few days of clowdy weather where it went from one day being pretty warm to the next 3 being cold with some drizzle. The people here like to find excuses to not work so when it goes from warm to cold places just close up for the day and people dont go outside except in the villa where we work the watchos wonder around which puts us in a bad spot cause nobody is around and they try to rob us. Watchos did only attempt to rob us twice during this time and both times the first time we were clapping at a house(people here in the villas dont have doorbells at their gates so we clap to bring them out) and some guy started walking up to us so as missionaries we naturally greet him "hola cómo anda" he shakes our hands greets us back then he goes "tiene celular?" I pull out both the books from my pockets the mission rules and my agenda and look him dead in the eyes and say "solo tengo libritos de la iglesia somos misionaros" and then he realizes hes not getting anything from us and walks away saying "Dios les bendiga" then the next day we are walking around and some watchos come up cut us off in the street and no joke puts his hand into a gun shape and puts it into my comps stomach and tells him to "da nos su celular!" then he realizes and puts his hand in his jacket pocket like he has a gun we just cant see the other guy proceeds to stick his hands in my jacket pockets and is telling me to "da mi su mochila" "da mi su reloj" at this point i wasnt really scared because he tried to hold us up with a finger gun so i told him my regular for watcho thiefs "somos misionaros no tengo nada solo predicando de Dios" they eventually gave up and left too but we had a good laugh at that one. On some happier news our converts Marisa and her son Ismael are going crazy in their villa preaching and we got a ton of new contacts and stuff which is awesome tons of potential baptisms so hopefully in a few weeks we will be putting people in the water soon! Argentina is a crazy place but the better my spanish gets the funner it is love you all and if you have any questions comments or concerns you can always shoot me an email! Elder Naegle

restaurant we ate at today and i taught some fella the first lesson and gave him a book of mormon he said he didnt believe in god or anything so maybe i changed his mind

Another week down in the area of my birth General Paz, things seem to have some potential here for us but we will have to see how it all plays out. We managed to get an investigator to church this week which was super cool her name is Carina fuentes she was taught by the sisters who they took out before us for a long time, the sisters were great and all but this area hasnt had a baptism in 6 months and most of the entries they did in the area book dont have dirrections so we cant find most of the people they even taught. Anyways even though carina came to church the room only had 21 people in it so thats not too good on the brink of dropping out of the 20s but the bishops wife and one of the councilors and his family didnt come so we were like whats going on, we went and investigated on this issue of super low attendence and went to the councilors home that was absent turns out he was just visiting family in another part because he had a relative getting the priesthood or something i a...

hola ultra vez.....Sptember 18, 2018

Hello friends and family this week was a little frustrating but im hopeful for the weeks to come soon. We have been working hard in the villa and branched out a little bit to this hill kind of next to it we found a guy named Ariel a while back and he seems to have potential but we didnt manage to get him to church cause his son was sick but he seems honest when he says he wants to go funny thing about him is when i contacted him the first time i asked him if he was a person that believes (sounds better in spanish) una persona muy creyente and he was eating something and with his mouth full goes "MM" and turns his leg and hes got a big ol tattoo of jesus on his leg it was awesome. We are trying to teach this girl priscila she is interested she also comes from a family of 12 kids but those 12 kids and their friends who tend to follow us and ruin our lessons which got really frustrating one day after it happened 3 times.
