My district at the temple

The Mexico City Temple

 Some weird statue on top of a building next to the CCM that we always see cause 

its right out the window of our branch meeting room. 

hola everyone! Another week down here in the CCM. So probably the most exciting thing that happened this week was when i was walking into sacrament meeting our branch president was like oh elder naegle let me talk to you for a sec, and he pulled me aside and was like so we promoted your district leader to be zone leader so now you are gonna be the zone leader and i was like wow ok and next thing  i know after sacrament meeting and priesthood im leading my district in a meeting about goals that i had no time to prepare but it went well, i consider myself to be their father and they are all my little children that i must protect and help them set goals. 

it rains a lot here almost every day and the clouds come really fast then it will pour for a bit then be clear then rain a little bit then be clear kind of all over the place but it helps keep it cool which is nice. one time it hailed and then another time it rained so hard that the big chapel they do for devotionals flooded and ruined a devotional we were supposed to have that night but they just split us all up into all the little chapels and did a meeting that way. 

also a bunch of 70s for mexico came to speak but one of them just spoke the whole time so the other didnt get to speak and he did it all in spanish but he had a really deep kind of raspy voice so i had a hard time picking out his spanish word but it was funny cause when he was saying stuff i didnt understand he sounded like hed be an alien in star wars. they did have a translator though and his message was good.

they keep the grounds here really nice there are always workers everywhere cleaning and it looks really good and there are a lot of birds every where including parrots which is cool i tried to take a picture of some but they kept flying away and so i gave up maybe next time.

There are always random cannon noises too from the city dont know if they are fireworks or what but its kind of wild sounds like the hunger games so whenever they go off i imagine that another missionary fell to the rigors of the CCM and some nights we will hear what sounds like gun shots from the city which is wild.

we also went to the temple last thursday which was super cool had to wear translating headphones and then the workers had papers of all the things in spanish for when we had to talk which was cool the temple has like this weird but cool aztec looking theme and the visitors center is crazy huge.
